If you are pushing for that elusive 100% map completion in Forza Horizon 6, you've probably realized that tracking down every single landmark can be a bit of a treasure hunt. One spot that seems to trip up a lot of players is the official Radio Towers landmark. It is tucked away right in the middle of Legend Island, sitting quietly along an off-road dirt path that is easy to miss if you are blazing past at 200 miles per hour.
Because Legend Island itself is locked behind late-game progression, getting out there takes some doing. Let's break down exactly how to find this spot, how to bypass the restriction if you are impatient, and what rewards are waiting for you when you arrive.
Finding the Landmark and Accessing Legend Island
Geographically, Legend Island is situated on the far southeastern edge of the Japan map, sitting directly east of the Tokyo Docks. When you look at the map early on, it looks tantalizingly close, but you won't be able to just drive over there whenever you like. The game hits you with a strict progression lock, physically cutting the island off from the main area during the early stages of your career.
To cross over legitimately, you have to work your way through the Horizon Festival and earn the Gold Wristband. You will unlock this once you hit 32,500 points. If you manage to make it through the ultimate milestone by winning the final Horizon Legend Event, you will secure permanent, unrestricted access to the island.
However, if you are looking to explore early without putting in all those hours first, the community has already found a clever workaround. You can use an access glitch via the Event Lab to skip the wristband requirements entirely. Just head into the Creative Hub, go to Horizon Event Lab, select "Play Event," and go to the search bar. Look up the community-created map named "Legend Islands Early Exploration Glitch" or directly enter the Event Lab share code: 272 813 678. This spawns you right onto the island, allowing you to cruise up to the Radio Towers ahead of schedule.
What Rewards Do You Get?
Making the trek out to the Radio Towers pays off in a few major ways, especially if you are a completionist:
  • Landmark Tracking & Completion: This particular spot counts as one of the 75 essential official landmarks scattered across the map. If you want that 100% map exploration achievement, this is a non-negotiable stop.
  • Discover Japan Points: Successfully rolling up to the towers and registering the location on your map drops a hefty chunk of Discover Japan Points and rewards you with progress stamps.
  • The Ultimate Horizon Legend Car: While discovering the tower fulfills your exploration stats, conquering the journey to the island the official way by winning the final Horizon Legend Event rewards you with a massive garage addition: the Lamborghini Aventador LP 780-4 Ultimae. You get to keep this absolute beast of a supercar permanently.

Word of Warning: Don't confuse these official Radio Towers with a very similar structure located in the northern region of Ohtani. That northern tower serves as a riddle clue for the 1985 Mazda RX-7 treasure hunt, but it does not count as the official island landmark required for your 100% exploration completion stats.
Getting out to Legend Island is well worth the trip, whether you wait for the Gold Wristband or use the Event Lab trick to peek at it early. Good luck out there on the dirt paths, and if you are currently hunting down the remaining collectibles, let me know if you need a hand tracking down the hidden XP Boards or the Regional Mascots scattered across the island!
