Most Diamond Dynasty programs ask for a bit too much, so this Garret Anderson Tribute drop feels different right away. If you've been bouncing between lineups, saving packs, or even keeping an eye on MLB The Show 26 stubs while shaping your roster, this one slides in without wrecking your whole evening. The requirement is dead simple: get six extra-base hits with anyone in your active squad. That's the whole job. No annoying checklist. No niche roster rules. No forced set of Moments that make you replay the same at-bat ten times. You just play, swing, and let the progress come naturally.

The best part is how open it is. You can chip away at those six extra-base hits in Ranked Seasons, Battle Royale, and Events if that's your thing. If not, offline works too, which is honestly where a lot of players will probably finish it faster. Mini Seasons, Conquest, Play vs CPU, Weekend Classic, even Diamond Quest all count. That kind of flexibility matters more than people think. A lot of programs lose players because they start feeling like chores. This one doesn't. You can just load into the mode you were already planning to play, and before long the program is done. Once you reach six XBH, the game gives you 16 Program Points in one shot, and that clears the entire path instantly.

The payoff is a 91 OVR Postseason Garret Anderson card, built around his 2002 run with the Angels. If you watched that era, or even just know the history, it lands nicely. Anderson wasn't flashy in the modern video-game sense, but he was steady, dangerous, and huge for that championship team. The card isn't sellable, so this isn't one of those rewards you cash out for quick profit. It's meant to be used. For Angels theme teams, it's an easy pickup. For everyone else, it's still a useful outfield option and a nice change from the usual stream of cards that feel interchangeable after a week. The extra 5,000 XP doesn't hurt either, especially if you're trying to stay on pace with the season track.

There's also something refreshing about how clean the tracking feels. You don't have to stop every game and dig through menus just to see whether that last double counted. The program updates as you go, so the whole thing feels light. That's a bigger deal than it sounds. MLB The Show is at its best when it lets you make progress without shouting about it every five seconds. This tribute program gets that balance right. It respects your time, gives newer players a realistic reward, and still offers longtime grinders a card worth grabbing. If San Diego Studio keeps rolling out content like this, people will stay engaged longer, spend less time feeling burnt out, and have more reasons to keep building squads with Diamond Dynasty stubs in ways that actually feel fun rather than forced.
